Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC), also known as ground limestone powder, is an inorganic powder material produced by mechanical crushing and classification of natural carbonate minerals such as calcite, marble, limestone and chalk. Unlike precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) made by chemical precipitation, GCC retains the crystal structure of raw ores. It features high chemical purity, high whiteness, low oil absorption, good dispersibility and competitive price. As an important industrial filler, GCC is widely used in papermaking, plastics, rubber, coatings, building materials, feed and other industries. It effectively increases product volume, reduces costs and improves the physical and mechanical properties of finished products. Compared with PCC, GCC has higher production capacity, lower manufacturing cost and strong market demand. Equipped with LM Vertical Roller Mill, LUM Ultrafine Vertical Mill, MTW European Trapezium Mill and other equipment, large-scale GCC grinding production lines can be built to stably supply mineral powder of various specifications for different industries.
The limestone is fed into the bucket elevator and subsequently transported to the raw material warehouse for grinding.
After grinding, the finished products are gathered by powder concentrator, and then conveyed to a screw conveyor.
The finished products are transported to the storage warehouse, while the excess gas is filtered by the dust collector.
The whole system is equipped with three pulse dust collectors to guarantee that the whole system is free of dust leakage.
The system is outfitted with an intelligent PLC control cabinet and an upper computer.
Calcium Carbonate as the filler for paper, can guarantee the strength and whiteness of the paper. Then the less wood will be used, the cost is lower.

In plastic products, ground calcium carbonate (GCC) acts as a skeleton filler. It improves the dimensional stability, hardness and surface gloss of finished parts. It can also partially replace costly white pigments to reduce raw material costs. GCC is widely used in the production of PVC pipes, profiles, films and other products.

Ground calcium carbonate (GCC) is one of the most widely used fillers in the rubber industry. When filled into rubber, it increases the volume of products, saves natural rubber and reduces costs. Meanwhile, it improves the tensile strength, tear strength and wear resistance of rubber goods.

In coatings (especially water-based coatings) and inks, ground calcium carbonate (GCC) functions as an extender pigment. It features anti-settling property, easy dispersion and good gloss. It enhances the film strength, water resistance and scrub resistance of paint coats, and helps control the gloss level of coatings.

In the construction sector, GCC is used for producing dry-mix mortar, concrete, artificial marble, floor tiles, etc. It boosts the toughness and strength of products and lowers production costs. Besides, ground calcium carbonate is also widely applied in feed (as calcium source), toothpaste (as abrasive agent), pharmaceuticals and other fields.
